How BallSense collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Overview
BallSense is operated from Canada and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect only what we need to run the service, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
Account information. Authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign up, we store your email address and the user identifier Clerk assigns you. Passwords and login credentials are managed by Clerk — we never see or store them.
Payment information. Pro payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your card details; Stripe does. We retain only your subscription status and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers needed to manage your Pro access.
Usage data. We keep minimal technical data (such as request counts used for rate limiting) to keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use your information
- To provide predictions and operate your account.
- To manage Pro subscriptions, billing, and access.
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each handling only the data needed for its function:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
- Railway & Vercel — application and database hosting.
- API-Football and NewsAPI — football and news data sources. No personal information about you is sent to these services.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your account record from our database. We retain personal information only while your account is active or as required to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Data security and international transfers
We use reputable providers with industry-standard security. Some of our processors (such as Clerk and Stripe) operate servers outside Canada, including in the United States, so your information may be processed in other jurisdictions under their respective privacy protections.
